That's what the $10 buys: the notification, right away. It doesn't buy a reply.

The small print
The button takes you to Stripe's payment page, where the $10 is charged. Stripe handles your card; this site never sees it. Nothing is charged before then, and nothing is charged if anything on this page goes wrong.
Once you've paid, your message goes to my phone through my own push server, and a copy goes to my inbox. Your name and email come with it, so I can write back.
No refunds once it's delivered. If it can't be delivered, the $10 is refunded automatically.
